About Us

Intensive training for working professionals and executives

The professional development initiative offered by Harvard’s Division of Continuing Education addresses a growing need among organizations to keep their managers up-to-speed in rapidly changing technology and business environments. In two-day intensive programs, participants engage with some of the most notable teachers and researchers in their fields. Programs meet in classrooms on the Harvard campus.

Programs for managers

Drawing upon faculty from Harvard Extension School, Harvard Summer School, and Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the selection of management programs are geared toward middle managers from a variety of areas and industries. These programs focus on both highly current and timeless topics ranging from negotiations, fundamentals of accounting, and executive communication skills.

About the Division of Continuing Education

Harvard’s Division of Continuing Education comprises several entities, including Harvard Extension School, Harvard Summer School, Harvard Institute for Learning in Retirement, and the above-mentioned Professional Development programs. Through these various entities, the division provides a variety of noncredit and credit-bearing programs online and on campus. The Division of Continuing Education is part of Harvard University and is responsible for extending excellence to students at every stage of learning.
