From Bedsheets to Spreadsheets

Terry Maitland, CSS '92, is currently a broker and principal of LandVest, a real estate brokerage firm specializing in high-end real estate in Nantucket, Cape Cod, and Greater Boston.

In 1997 he was LandVest's top producer and one of the leading brokers in Greater Boston, with more than $34 million in overall sales. He holds the distinction of having sold the highest-priced property in Cambridge ($4 million).

A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (BA in English) and Boston University (MS in journalism), Maitland had a successful career as a journalist before joining LandVest. He is co-author of five volumes of The Vietnam Experience, the popular multivolume series on the history of the Vietnam War published by Time-Life Books.

"When I began taking CSS courses, I didn't know a spreadsheet from a bedsheet," said Maitland. "So I would say the CSS has served me well."
