Dispensable--and shorn--
And movement--was not
Progress--but circumvention

It was--just--the inhalation--
And--the expiration--
The fall of my shoe--echoing--
There was no--beckoning--no

Call at all--Excepting Time--
Who waved me onward--sternly--
And without a word--watched
Me--as I went
