Arthur Gunawan, '03, is currently working as an IT consultant at Astrido Finance in Jakarta, developing a new multi-finance system for the company. Astrido Finance is the credit and financing department of Astrido Jaya Milindo, the parent company that is part of the automotive industry.

Ronald Alejandro Leon Lara, '03, is employed with the Hotelera Nacional S.A., the largest hotel chain in Bolivia. He is currently working on a merger with the country's second largest hotel. He is traveling and completing work related to M & A, valuations, capital structure, and negotiations.

Jorge Garcia Andrade, '03, is an auditor for Stanley Works.

Elizabeth Saieh, '03, is employed with Natural Products, a Miami-based company. She works in the finance department.

Masahiko Yoshida, '03, began a master's degree in accountancy at Bentley College in fall 2003. He aspires to be an international accounting advisor to a board of directors in the global business environment.

Max Alvarado, '02, is a volunteer for a nonprofit Peruvian institution, Fundacion Inca Kola. He was also accepted into the University of Chicago MBA program.

Edward P. Merguerian, '02, is a trade specialist with the US Department of Commerce in Boston.

Silvia Pozzi, '02, works as a control analyst for Citibank in Brazil in the custody of funds department.

Omer Kasapoglu, '02, joined the Turkish Navy and completed his military service. Now he is working with his father and brother in a family-owned textile manufacturing company, Dost Tekstil. They manufacture and export towels, bathrobes, etc.

Sérgio Monteiro Cavalcanti, '01, is a partner in a law office in Recife, Brazil.

Amy Campbell, '00, won first place in the 2003 Legal Marketing Association's National Award for an e-newsletter she developed and now manages for the law firm Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell.

Luis Carlos Velez, '00, entered the Analyst and Associate program at Enron Corporation's Texas headquarters before returning to Columbia. He now works at Caracol Noticias as the senior international correspondent and international editor.

Ximena Heinze, '00, has been a headhunter at M&SB Asesores, an Argentinian firm, since 2000. She is a consultant in charge of executive searches and management assessments to top executives. She works mostly in Chile and Argentina. On a personal note, she got married in 2001 and is expecting her first child this year.

Maria Raquel Garcia Castillo, '99, received an ALM in IT in 2002 from the Harvard University Extension School. Now she is an assistant professor at Franklin Pierce College, where she also coordinates the Master of Science in Information Technology and Management program.

Steve Gadziala, '97, is currently director of retail operations at Zeme, Inc. He co-authored an article in the winter 2001-2002 edition of the Journal of Innovative Management titled "Using I-Charts to Enable Strategic Decision Making at Dunkin' Donuts."

Mehmet B. Hitay, '97, is employed in a family-owned business, Hitay Ltd. Co., in Izmir, Turkey. The company specializes in retail electrical appliances. He is also the owner of 3S Consulting Ltd., a firm that specializes in consulting services for the computer industry.

Barbara Wellnitz, '96, has been elected president of the Boston chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Mark Dubinsky, '95, is the COO of the Dubinsky Group/Zeme Inc., a 12-unit Dunkin' Donuts franchise network in the Methuen, MA, area.

Julia Green, '94, has been employed by UPS for four years. She is based in Watertown, MA, as an Access and intranet programmer.

Thomas J. Tuniewicz, '91, is an IT audit manager. He has more than 10 years experience in systems planning and review, institution disaster recovery plan facilitation and testing, training, database design reviews, security reviews and highly technical audit functions. He also has a Master of Arts from Anna Maria College.

John F. Kirk, '90, is active in the Harvard Club of San Antonio. He has held the position of vice president of programming and president. In June he was appointed to the regional directors for the State of Texas.

Dzvinia Orlowsky, '84, co-founded Four Way Books, a publisher of poetry and short fiction. Her third full-length poetry collection, Except for One Obscene Brushstroke, was published in March 2003 by Carnegie Mellon University Press.
