Spring Term Grades Available Via DCE Tel

Beginning Saturday, May 31, spring-term students may call DCE Tel, the Division of Continuing Education Telephone Information System, (617) 496-1111, to hear their spring-term final grades. Students who are new to Extension this spring will receive notification of their PIN (personal identification number) in April. Students who have questions about their PIN may call the Registrar's Office, (617) 495-9522.

1997 Harvard Summer School

Extension School students are invited to continue their studies this summer at the Harvard Summer School. Several hundred day and evening courses will be offered, many of which can be applied toward Extension School degrees and certificates. The 1997 Summer School session runs from June 23 through August 15. Registration ends Wednesday, June 4. Alumni Banquet Students receiving degrees or certificates this year are cordially invited to attend the Harvard Extension Alumni Association's annual dinner scheduled for Tuesday, June 3. Full details will be available through the degree and certificate offices in May, but students should mark their Commencement Week calendars now.

Nominations for Extension Prizes

Extension School students and alumni are invited to send nominations for the Bonanno, Conway, Shattuck, and Fussa Teaching Awards, and the Derek Bok Public Service Prize to Dean Michael Shinagel, 51 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138-3722, before May 1, 1997. Nomination forms are available at Grossman Library and at the front desk of 51 Brattle Street.

1997-98 Harvard Extension School Preview and Catalogue

The Harvard Extension School preview brochure will be printed in May. The 1997-98 catalogue will be posted on our WWW site in mid-July, and the printed catalogue will be available in early August. All students who registered in 1996-97 and all alumni will receive a copy of the preview. To request a catalogue, return the preview coupon, call (617) 495-3662, visit the Harvard Extension School Web site, or send e-mail to: ext@hudce.harvard.edu. Degree and certificate candidates will automatically receive both the preview and the catalogue.

CARC Sponsors Workshops for Students

The Career & Academic Resource Center (CARC), in conjunction with the Harvard Bureau of Study Counsel, is sponsoring a series of workshops in April:

• Speaking Up: Freeing Your Voice in Class April 1 and April 8 (a two-part workshop)

• Stress Management Group April 3, 10, and 17 (a three-part group)

• Preparing For and Taking Exams April 14 or 29 (a one-part workshop)

All workshops meet from 5:30-7 pm in the Grossman Common Room at 51 Brattle Street and are free to the public. To register for one or more of the workshops call CARC at (617) 495-8750.
